Statkraft is Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy.

Across our UK businesses we employ nearly 500 staff in Wales, England and Scotland. We’re at the heart of the energy transition, proud to be technology agnostic, with activities across wind, solar, hydro, storage, grid stability, EV charging, green hydrogen as well as being the UK’s leading energy transition trader.

In Wales we operate hydro and wind projects, with an exciting pipeline of traditional and innovative renewables to help the country achieve its net targets targets. We also run our control centre from Aberystwyth, from where our projects across the UK are monitored and managed.

The UK is an essential market for Statkraft’s global ambitions to develop 9 GW of wind and solar power by 2025. To date we’re proud to have invested over £1.3 billion in the UK's renewable energy infrastructure and facilitated over 4.3 GW of new-build renewable energy generation through Power Purchase Agreements.
