Global Energy Group are the owners and operators of the Port of Nigg - Scotland’s premier green freeport superhub facility - and have built a successful track record within the offshore renewables industry, having managed more than 2.6 GW of offshore wind assets. In 2023, the Port of Nigg was awarded green freeport status by the UK and Scottish Governments, creating a truly unique value proposition to support future North Sea energy developments.

The Port of Nigg boasts multiple sheltered deep-water quaysides and unrivalled laydown areas, combined with some of Europe’s largest construction and assembly shops. In addition, the facility is in prime position for the future expansion of the offshore wind and floating offshore wind sectors in the UK, while being strategically located for ScotWind and INTOG sites and the proposed developments as part of AR4 and AR5.
