In May 2021, MUFG announced its Carbon Neutrality Declaration and became the first Japanese financial institution to join the NZBA, announcing our commitment to achieve net zero emissions in our financed portfolio by 2050. MUFG also has a commitment to reach net zero in our own operations by 2030 and is committed to social responsibility having recently released our inaugural Human Rights Report.
